Maine School Administrator comments on Yearbook Hitler Quote -- idiot should be fired.

Millennial Hitler quotes aren’t necessarily about Nazi views

Now we have a school administration so stupid that their licenses to teach should be yanked. The Hitler comment was made by a man who was a working artist ... a man who made enough off his art to support himself ... and he was commenting on the surrealist movement in terms of the eugenics that were popular and promoted in America a decade before he was born. Anyone who could see the world as it really is mentally disturbed to the point where they should not be allowed to reproduce. If the Administrators had a proper education, they would have known the history of the era that resulted in the comment -- so worry about them, not what is in a yearbook

We tend to turn people into myths, legends, and abstract symbols.
But we also do that for things -- walking under ladders becomes bad luck, spill salt-toss a pinch over your shoulder -- superstitions and evil omens.
We are now doing that with the Confederate Flag, and we have done that with the swastika.
The Flag of the confederacy is just that -- a Flag which was carried into war. It has no real history beyond its brief appearance in the 1860's. To link it to slavery would require it flew over the slaves in the 1840's or 1700's or even 1600's when the nation was all slave, or indentured servants (slaves with a time limit).
The Swastika is different. It has a very real history as a symbol of good luck and good fortune and can be found in ancient societies from the time of the Indus Valley (Aryan or Indo- Aryan) civilization ... to the Old West and pre-European Native Tribes. It was a proper symbol for all that belonged to that ancient history and was once (1600's-1800's) found on the doorsteps of JEWISH homes where it was a symbol of blessing's bestowed on all who passed.

Now Here is a HITLER QUOTE I'm sure will disturb everyone, especially the Republican Party which is opposed to Healthcare and a living minimm wage.

"Above all, the blessed among men thereby become concerned with the plight of those less fortunate." Adolf Hitler
