the pattern continues: House Republican leadership met heavy resistance from GOP members after presenting a plan on Monday that would extend the debt limit for one year.

Seems too members are anti-budget.
So we can look forward to more problems. in this case, no budget if cuts to military pensions are lifted ... so risk your life for the nation and get screwed by GOP.

"[Obama] must ignore the debt ceiling and order the Treasury to continue to pay all the nation's bills.
"[Obama] should rely on Section 4 of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution, which says the "validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law ... shall not be questioned." The debt itself is clearly "authorized by law" because it's the direct result of laws authorizing the U.S. to spend and to tax. The showdown over the debt ceiling is over payment of the debt, not the legality of the debt itself. Arguably, what the Constitution requires trumps any law governing the debt-ceiling.
"If Republicans disagree, let them try to impeach the president."

Matter solved. If the Congress cannot, or refuses to, do its job, Obama simply obeys the Constitution and orders payment of bills prior to them doing into default. The Tea Party can then impeach the President for the High Crime of obedience to the Constitution -- the same Constitution that they insist upon spitting on.

Basically a Constitutional version of "Saint Paul's Joke" -- which will be applied to those who back the Tea party. For those not familiar with scripture: "Saint Paul's Joke" examines the words and doctrine of Saul of Tarsus (St. Paul) [Constitution based on Jesus & Peter] rather than the practices commonly followed which are in accordance with the dictates of Augustine of Hippo [Tea Party]; in terms of this discussion, the old testament "Rule of Solomon" applies -- to be liable for the consequences of ones action, one must first be informed they are wrong (misguided, or stupid).

Those who support the Tea Party and pronouncements of Rush Limbaugh [modern Augustine] will be held liable for the aftermath of a default. Curiously, the "Rule of Solomon" does not require anyone save the sinner's ass -- so Obama is not obligated to simply order payment ... he has done his job by warning of the outcome of a default.

Unfortunately for them, the deficit is falling at a faster rate than it has since World War II. The economy is improving, tax revenues are up, and spending has been cut. This takes the wind out of the Republicans' austerity sails. Make no mistake about it, this battle is not about the federal budget in any way, shape, or form. If there was some underlying "cut deficits" strategy to the Republican shutdown, then why would the House have passed a budget bill on the brink of the shutdown which increased the debt by $29 billion? Yes, you heard that right -- House Republicans, this Monday, wanted the Senate to increase the debt by billions to cut an Obamacare tax they didn't like. So -- please -- don't try to tell me this is about deficits or the budget, because Republicans' own actions prove that to be false.”

Republicans claim to want fiscal responsibility, but we can clearly see they want to increase the National Debt so that their backers can keep a few pennies more of their ill-gotten gains from outsourcing American jobs.

Moreover, their objection is actually to the fact that this Democratic President (like the last one) is CUTTING the deficit that each Republican president doubled – and doing sop while improving the economy and American standard of living.

DUH… so now the conventional media has been informed of what we have long known about “The Most Harm to the Most People” crowd:

"Right now, what we’ve got in Washington, we've seen a sizable group of Republican lawmakers suggest that they wouldn’t vote to pay the very bills that Congress rang up. And that fiasco harmed a fragile recovery in 2011 and we can't afford to repeat that," Obama warned during a speech at Knox College in Galesburg, Ill. "Rather than reduce our deficits with a scalpel ... we've got folks who’ve insisted on leaving in place a meat cleaver called the sequester that's cost jobs."

Think about it… We had Reagan double to national debt – to give the rich money.  Bush 41 tried to double that, but was voted out before he could do more than match Reagan; Bush 43 then doubled the debt again … so what should have been paid off now drags us down.

The Republicans want to privatize Social Security … after they stole the funds which were set aside and which should have constituted the only national debt balance.  But Bush 43 was also planning to crash the markets and kill our young workers by promoting a war rather than a targeted police action to nail Ben Laden (who bush also declared irrelevant to his alleged war on terror … which he now has admitted was a mistake and wrong-headed … duh Christians confess their sins when they are looking to die … so expect Bush 43 & 41 to pass soon).

In any event …

How long will it take conventional media … and the public … to realize the best stimulus package is the money you target at the poor and elderly?  It is they, and only they, who spend the bulk of their money locally.  It is they, and only they, who support local economies and purchase necessities of the type which support the tax base of the nation.

To destroy a nation, destroy the poor and elderly … while doing that, deny the young an education … the long term effects are fantastic.

Well … fantastic for any who want to see this, or any nation, destroyed.  Look at Egypt, Syria, or any nation that is falling apart at the seams … how many educated are there?  If you are Islamic, the destruction targets and diminishes woman (in violation of the Koran which demands respect for them)… open your eyes … time is running out.

In today’s news: Budget deficit to plunge to $642B this year, lower than expected

No wonder the Republicans are stretching to find a justification for impeachment hearings… Unlike the GOP, this President has reversed GOP policies … no more deficit growth, no more meaningless military actions and un-Constitutional “Wars”… where are the declarations required, the clearly defined enemy State?

Republicans love to have their “Police Actions” – anything to murder as many people as possible … with the full backing and support of those whose religions advocate Peace.

Another four years of Democratic Rule, and we will be generating Budget surpluses.  Of course, there are the Paul Rand types… with their Reagan Bush role models… who will love the opportunity to double the national debit.

What have the Republicans wrought?  Current account deficits are up more than fourfold since 1989, a year of peak popular angst about the hollowing out of America.  This is a product of “OUT SOURCING” … the GOP baby that ships jobs elsewhere: A report, issued as far back as 2005, documented the transfer abroad — mainly to East Asia – of  most of the U.S. semiconductor industry’s key capabilities and technologies.  The Pentagon, was particularly concerned, a fear widely prevalent in U.S. defense circles, that so-called malware could be hidden in the circuitry of foreign-sourced semiconductors only to be activated at the last minute.

Basically, money guys in the GOP has allowed, fought for, and invested in, sabotaging with terrorist time bombs built into the firmware of our computers.  Keep in mind, the Republican agenda is:
