Once again the debate has been entered – Is intelligence genetic and does it vary based upon geographically based physical characteristics (race)?
Nobel Prize winner James Watson (DNA) has broached the subject with dual statements – the first a prediction the genes responsible for intelligence will be discovered within the next decade; and the second, an assertion that Africans are, based upon the evolution of that gene, less intelligent that Westerners (Europeans).
Of course he has been denounced as espousing racist concepts. The interesting element is that testing has shown this difference, and that both Asians and Jews tend to score the highest on those same tests.
By extrapolating Watson’s assertions to application within the totality of the broader spectrum of humanity, it follows that there would be a hierarchy of intelligence related to genetic separation.
Thus we have Africans and Native Americans at the bottom; Europeans next, then non-Judaic Middle Easterners, who are finally lead by Judaic, Indian and Oriental populations. Tartars, and related North Asian or Mongolian groups, might well fall towards the lower end of the spectrum.
There would be some additional studies required for the placement of the various Chinese populations – while they claim a similar cultural identity, Northern and Souther Han are clearly distinct populations on the level of their gender chromosomes.
However, based upon their levels of violence and genocide, Africans would clearly be in a competitive run for last place against Europeans.
Genocide is, on its face, evidence of low intelligence, and the inability to find intelligent, rational, solutions to demographic problems – hence the consistent challenges to the intelligence of George W Bush and those in his Administration.
In a book due to be published in November, Watson writes: "There is no firm reason to anticipate that the intellectual capacities of peoples geographically separated in their evolution should prove to have evolved identically. Our wanting to reserve equal powers of reason as some universal heritage of humanity will not be enough to make it so."
Basically, there is no political correct approach which can overcome the evolutionary imperative of allele mutation being individual specific and thus spread through direct contact. In the absence of contact, mutations cannot propagate.
To the extent that a mutation might be environmentally favored, or generated, there might be grounds for an exception; but even here it is necessary for the gene to be at the proper stage in its own evolution so as to duplicate the mutation which occurred elsewhere.
The elements of intelligence which Western Society recognizes, and under whose definitions Europeans have been found inferior to Judaic and Asian populations, only began to be evident with the agricultural revolution eleven thousand years ago – manifesting in changes dated to ten thousand years ago.
African and non-African populations were geographically separated approximately eighty-five thousand years ago; thus the evolutionary forces have had at least that long to alter any genes associated with intelligence – longer if alterations were causal to the out migration.
There is, of course, one rational flaw in Watson’s argument. Watson assumes, implicitly, that all the environmental destruction created by western society is an act of intelligence.
As Asians are engaged in similar levels of destruction – in some cases greater destructive levels – it is self-evident that environmental destruction as evidence of a lack of intelligence would invert our scale and place African populations at the pinnacle of intelligence.
Thus, regardless of the logical necessity for the existence of genes which are directly associated with intelligence, and hence consistent with brain development differences between creatures, it is the ability to define intelligent behavior which will determine who is the most intelligent; hence, who has the most evolved genetics.
This logical necessity then causes us to observe those who scream racism in the face of scientific observation, reality and necessity– how intelligent can they be, and what racial group do they belong to? Are they European, or African; and if African are they African-American and hence, do to hundreds of years of admix genetically, fifty-percent European?
The argument for western intelligence is therefore not racist, but rather one of determining if global climate change, extermination of species, and universal depletion, or pollution, of the water resources is an act of ignorance or intelligence. Once that is determined, interpretation of the predicted genetic findings will be a snap.
Phrased another way. Is the hallmark of intelligence really suicidal behavior on a global scale? If so, Westerners are clearly the most intelligent.

Does it really matter what you do?

Date Line October 11, 2007
Life is curious. Every thing is linear. No matter how curved, bent, or crooked, all things travel in a straight line from point A to point B.
There is the element of chance in everything, yet it generally changes nothing. At least, it changes nothing in the larger scheme of things.
Does it really matter what you do? Does it matter how you vote? Do any of your actions have real meaning? Have your actions, desires or wants in any way altered the course of the universe?
Hunter-gatherer populations work sixteen hours a week to meet all their basic survival needs. They have two or three children per family. And they party a lot. They sing, dance, tell communal stories – spin tales of magic and mystery in a way that allows belief without detracting from the social objective.
What do you do? You work sixty hours a week, or you work less – maybe you work only 35 five hours, but travel to and from work for another fifteen. Maybe you travel the fifteen and also work the sixty.
Is your life filled with community sharing? Do you have time for those two kids? Do you even have those kids?
If you are, as the expression goes, a “person of faith” – do you actually believe in anything? Do you have a doctrine to follow or a way to behave which can be shared and followed by others?
Or do you assert what you know to be false and mask it in the idea that you are a “sinner”, but then add that we are all “sinners’ and so imply that it doesn’t really matter. You recognize the “faith’ to be stupidity and meaningless – but it sounds good.
And anyway ... everyone knows the joke.
You travel from point A to point B by the most indirect of routes. You have no compass, no straight edge, no means of ensuring your linear journey is by the most efficient and expeditious route. The beauty of it – you are the same as everyone else.
You live in a perfect world; but fail to recognize it is perfectly imperfect. You don’t understand that, no matter how you play it, you will get from point A to point B – birth to death.
The objective, the human, the life, imperative is to have life continue on its journey from its point A to its point B. You failed to grasp that the importance of life is life.
On the simplest level, the most direct route is the medical creed – to do no harm. It really does not matter what else you do. If you do no harm you have followed the direct route.
If you create no life, you cannot harm that life – but you harm the ability of life to continue.
If you create life and keep it safe – you continue life by that small amount. But life is imperfect, and chance will strive to change things – maybe for better, maybe for worse, but change things it shall.
The universe travels from its point A to its point B and doesn’t care a bit if you come along for the ride. You can see you are onboard; but that is just for a bit. You, like everything else, are transient.
The importance of your being is the here and now. All that Fame, Fortune, and prestige stuff has very little significance. It is a small imperfection on a the universal line from point A to point B – a blip.
Can you move the universe? Can you shape it? Can you mold it to fit your design? If so, do so. If not, stop claiming that you can.
Oh sure. You can throw a party. You can destroy the room and leave the mess for someone else to clean. The universe expects to clean up after your mess. It expects to do it and will take, on its timescale, only a second or less – no matter how bid the mess is relative to your size.
But why make the mess? Why destroy your life? Why exit a journey before you reach what could be your destination? Is it because you are so evil, so inconsiderate, so whatever, that you would work top stop others from enjoying their journey from their point A to their point B?
Maybe it does it really matter what you do and how you vote?

A Generation to Go ... bye-bye
_____________________________________________________
Date Line September 30, 2007
The various studies, peer-review papers and monographs, contain inferred information – things which are not expressly stated, but are obviously taken as a premise or given.
WATER: The relationship between glaciation and desertification has, or reveals, an inverse ratio of available vegetation to glaciation. The system infers a finite and balanced ratio of water to climate condition. Thus when there are glaciers there is desert and low vegetation.
As each takes time to develop, it follows that there is a timescale for any change from desert to forest which exceeds the life-span of any one tree.
More important, since there is a fixed quantity of water under all conditions, it must be located somewhere at all times. Seems obvious. If deserts are increasing, and glaciation is decreasing, the amount of surface and sub-surface water must increase.
Sub-surface water is a lubricant – as has been discovered in oil drilling regions – which releases fault-lines locks. That is, where two earth plates meet, seeking to overlay, friction holds them against pressure from systemic movement. Add water, and the plates will slip, the straining pressure will be violently relaxed through an event defined as an earthquake. (Gas and magma pressure cause same affect in volcanic regions.)
If sub-surface water is not allowed to accumulate, and so does not allow for lubrication of the tectonic plates, eventually the plate pressure will grow to the point where the slightest lubrication will cause a major slippage.
If sub-surface water is not allowed to accumulate, accumulation will still occur in the atmosphere or surface reservoirs – lakes/oceans. The atmosphere has a limited absorption capacity, made more limited by those conditions associated with desertification.
Ultimately the seas take on the job of retaining the balance, and levels rise while land area becomes dryer, or is submerged.
One can easily see how the preservation of natural balance serves to eliminate elements of life which might be disruptive to that balance. Desertification forces life to consolidate into a narrower habitats; and to consume food while restricting opportunity for its replacement.
Curiously, this could favor modern humans. There would be an obvious division between those who lived in remaining habitat and those who created desert habitats. The deserts would require the creation of closed environmental systems to be maintained over a minimum of multiple centuries, and possibly several millennia.
The result could be genetic drift, and mutation toward creation of several new and separate species of hominid.
Conversely, humanity could move into currently uninhabited areas. A population decrease would be necessary; and thus an increase in disease would be anticipated (necessitated by natural balance and mutation opportunities for microbes which have not been exposed to human hosts prior to occupation of the empty territories).
Reproductive success remains, as it has in the past, the only criteria for general accomplishment. Reproductive success will be defined as both the ability to produce children, and the intellectual ability to adapt the needs of humanity to the natural world.
Given history, as defined by the past five thousand years, and as also evidenced in the record for the past two hundred thousand years, about fifty-percent of the world population will die with one generation. When the count for, the first day of, that generation will begin cannot be defined now; but it will be sometime in this century.
Sea levels are rising, a northern-passage has opened in the arctic, and the deserts are expanding. In addition, ground water reserves in those regions prone to earthquake activity are being steadily depleted, and expelled water is being contaminated in all regions.
Dates – years – which are cited, on a recurring basis, include 2012, 2030 and 2050. There is a convergence of actions emerging around, and involving, these time frames. We are, by current projections, one generation away from the onset of a new era of mankind.

Do you want to know, or be wrong? Your choice. My supremely talented and intelligent daughter once commented that, she could make the point better, because she was a better writer.
I had to reminder her that the objective for me (at retirement end of my life) verses her (just turned 17, entering Harvard as a Freshman point), at the current stage of our respective careers, was quite unique.
I did not need to convince people of my point; rather I could simply tell them they were driving off a cliff and sit back to watch the inevitable spectacle of them willfully plunging to their destruction.
Am I my brother’s keeper? It is a famous, infamous, biblical question. Cain asked it; and as a response was marked for divine protection – hurt him and the deity would hurt you seven fold.
As divine punishment, Cain became the builder of cities, his children, his grandchildren, became men “without renown” responsible for the development of music and technology. Civilization is the product of Cain’s line. The best of civilization – for you cannot war with Cain.
Today we are engaged in a genocidal Crusade against the innocent of Islam, brought about by the actions of the guilty of Islam who we do not challenge, seek out, or confront – because the leaders on both sides appear to be are conservative fundamentalists working on the same side.
Many, like their parents did in the 1960's, are mobilizing against this killing-by-choice. Still, those who have aged have effectively become “their parents” and conservatively support the government upon whom they depend for their retirement – the killing continues.
Threaten the retirement and retain support, as Bush et al have done, and a strange thing happens – we learn the level of ignorance which has taken over America and become the hallmark of all our social problems.
How do we exit, without appearing weak? How to exit without arming the fundamentalist contingent on both sides?
The advice which should be given to our political leaders and hopefuls is “get stronger.” Notch the stakes up to the levels which existed in the period of “mutually assured destruction.”
Pull the troops out, and explain that it is being done to remove them from the target zone of more powerful, more effective, weapons.
Point to the existence of drone aircraft which now are deployed and are flown by pilots who commute from their suburban home in middle-America. The drone, in midair over a target zone, change pilots in a smooth change of seats. No trained personnel are at risk – why should they be?
We can level cities, machine-gun insurgents mobs, and even go home for lunch or pick-up the kids at school. Why do we have people on the ground and in harms way? The drones can be serviced at sea.
If an insurgent force cannot gather to train, how do they pose a threat? If a drone can kill any and all who gather to train, how long would insurgents last?
We do not need massive ground forces. We need more drones and the willingness to kill honestly. The moral games we play, the high moral ground claimed by the promoters of conservative views, are based on the willingness to kill quietly.
Starve children. Have children die from diseases which could easily be prevented. Do this in the name of “economic sanctions” – do not call it murder – even though it is willful intentional murder.
Conservatives, if any of them took the time to comprehend what their scriptures actually say, would know that Jesus said the evil and the good would be known by their works, not by their words.
They would know that Mohammad warned against hurting Jews; and pointed out that the Army of Islam served the Jewish Jesus in his war against the Bad Christians. But nobody who kills believes in a deity.

Intelligence as Genetic Factor
_____________________________________________________
Date Line September 20, 2007
Genetics are funny, the more they are studied the more factors are placed in the hands of women.
Everything, except gender, seems to be influenced by the mother; and even gender defaults to female. So is the gender marked on the Y-Chromosome is defective, as is the case in roughly one in ten thousand cases, a infertile female, rather than a damaged male, is produced.
It is logical. Women are the sedentary creatures, males the risk takers. It would be foolish for a species to place its survival characteristics in the hands of someone, a gender, which could quickly die.
Intelligence has a genetic component and as such is geographically controlled. Where mom came from, or where her maternal ancestors originated, may well have more to do with success than any other factor beyond opportunity to express that inherited intelligence.
Throughout human history, knowledge has been contained in oral history and thus dependent upon memory. IQ is, naturally, the measure of the elements needs to transmit cultural history.
Because oral history cannot be retold completely, or with details which modern societies – with their written records and foot noted reference to other written records – can produce, the essence of an event was retold.
History was recalled, but under went what is known as “telescoping”: the compressing of events into a coherent unified story without regard for actual times of occurrence.
In this process, the oral historian required some means to control sequence, or denote some system of time. Accordingly, an oral history converted to written form, such as the Hebrew Bible, reflects the nemonic tricks of the oral historian.
One such trick is to tell a genealogy in terms of birth, birth of the next generation, and death in both span between events and the total of the years traversed from birth to death.
The actual years depicted are not necessarily real. In fact they only become real when a written memory aid becomes available. For this reason, one cannot rely on times described so much as upon the sequence of events within the relative time frames.
When reading a ancient tale, consider this: “New scientific findings indicate that ancestral humans split from chimpanzee forebears more recently than previously thought and raise the possibility that the two nascent species hybridized before making their final separation.”
Now think “Daughters of Man” and the “Sons of God” in the same context as Adam trying out various animals as a companion prior to the emergence of Eve.
As an example of telescoped time, note that the biblical period of a “day” is assumed by modern readers to be twenty-four hours, even though the day stated existed in the void period before the creation of the heavens and earth.
Now consider this in the context of Ape and Man: “Previous studies have used average figures to get a time that the species split, but scientists have long known that segments of the genetic code are inherited from different ancestors who lived at different times. This study was the first to trace segments back and provide a range of dates within which the common ancestors of humans and chimpanzees lived.
“What the results reveal is a surprisingly large range. Different segments of the genome differ in age by about 4 million years, researchers found. That large range of dates could be explained if there had been some genetic exchange between the two developing species over that time.” [from: HARVARD GAZETTE ARCHIVES]
But also consider this about female mtDNA, the X-chromosome from Broad Institute director, Eric Lander: "The genome analysis revealed big surprises, with major implications for human evolution. First, human-chimp speciation occurred more recently than previous estimates. Second, the speciation itself occurred in an unusual manner that left a striking impact across chromosome X. The young age of chromosome X is an evolutionary smoking gun."
The “young age” of the female X-chromosome, relative to the age of the male Y-chromosome, comports well with both the Biblical origin sequence and the fact that males carry both the X and Y; thus would have imparted the human X to a female who already carried one copy of her own – yielding a double X female who was “human.”
What has this to do with IQ? Remember, the ancients were wise, but also religion, which was once based on the female goddess, was taken over by men. The ancients knew that wisdom and knowledge, IQ, came from women; and so they related that Eve ate of the tree after she rationally deduced she would not die.
Man called it a sin for which he would surely die, a disobedience to a deity who knew exactly what Eve would do, and set the stage for it.
And yes! Man DID surely die. The ape who he was became human; the species that he was is no more. But, take heart, there are many men, whose mother Eve weren’t too bright; and so, they work hard to return to their ape-like existence. Doubt that? Check the Whitehouse.

How many thing can be blamed on the Republicans and Right-wing evangelical support for the murder of Islamists in Iraq?
Well, apparently quite a bit.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention now reports, from 1990 to 2003, the suicide rate fell by more than 28 percent, from 9.48 to 6.78 per 100,000 among those between ages 10 and 24.
Basically, 1992 to 2000 were the Clinton years and the young could relate to someone who had their interests at heart. How easy for the young to relate to a sexually active, and emotionally open leadership.
Keep in mind that the latter part of the first Bush years were marked by the presence of Barbara Bush – everyone’s sweet grandmother.
Then came the current Bush era. First the Stock market folded; and it appears, with the sub-prime, ripoff the struggling poor, bubble bursting and the nation hemorrhaging debt obligations to foreign nations, the market is ready to tank before Bush exits (stage right-wing).
The prospect of no jobs, except one with the military and the prospect of being killed, maimed, mutilated, or mentally destroyed before any prospect of reaching thirty, is sufficient to ensure that suicides will increase.
If we add to that the very visible rejection of governmental mental care for those who serve; and the equally visible rejection of care for the families of those who serve, the future is dismal.
Bush has been very forceful in his assertion that those who do work, and are able to contribute to their futures through Social Security contributions, will receive nothing back.
Bush has clearly, and specifically, told the young that they will be screwed and that their world, should they select to live until it is theirs, is a place far worse than any their parents and grandparents knew.
The GOP is excellent at telling people they have no future. What do they offer? Right-wing evangelical salvation for those who are “good” and do as they are told by the Robertson-Farwell style demigods.
Of course, they look at these god want-a-be types and see people who live by the sword, hence shall die by it (no salvation there); people who cheat on their wives while screaming family values (no salvation there); people who refuse to help the sick, but scream they follow the teachings of one who specifically said the sick must be helped (no salvation there); those who turn their backs on their neighbors, especially when those neighbors are hard working immigrants seeking a better life (no salvation there either).
Everywhere you turn, you find a Right-winger screaming lies about what they stand for. They have never read, never comprehended, the contents of that which they call their Book, and the teachings of the man they claim is their savior.
Had they read the book, they would know that “Ye shall know them by their works” overrides the words and reveals the truth.
Find a reason to kill the innocent; allow the guilty to live in peace and safety. Therein will you find the creed of the Right-wing Conservative and its associated Evangelical Movement.
Kill followers of Islam before anyone heeds, or catches on to, the fact that they follow a doctrine which places that same savior as the head of an army which will destroy the Evangelicals.
Granted, the evils of mankind are not restricted to one belief system. If it were, we would not see Bush and Bin Laden working hand-in-hand to make way for global destruction and chaos. The young see it and they are opting out in the only way they know, the only way that is exclusively in their power, they are checking out of life.
Look for suicide rates to increase, not only among the young, but among all age groups. The old will select a fast death over the slow death which is being promoted through the denial of real healthcare to ALL who need it. Heed this prediction; for it is a time for prophecy.

NOTATIONAL THOUGHTS:
At this point, as will doubtless be done later in the works, the text diverges, to insert some notional thoughts as to a possible basis for tracing the genetic connections and origins of cultures.
Egyptian Animal Headed deities – animal heads on human bodies – symbolize the absorption of tribes into the overall Egyptian culture.
Each animal head being symbolic the deity of the tribe which became the body of Egyptian Culture and Civilization. Anubis, the jackal headed deity, is actually a dog; or evolved from the dog.
In each instance, the domestication of an animal resulted in its being deified. More properly, the deity of the animal was placated for the service its creature provided through worship ritual.
The Calf, or Cow, were important deities of those pastoral peoples associated with those who gave us farming. In Egypt, the sacred cow (Apis) was associated with the second dynasty, and said to be introduced by Kaiechos.
Egypt may have been a vassal state of Ur (Iran/Iraq). The higher order script of Ur was not transmitted for common usage by its tributaries; instead they used a simpler pictographic script which, in Egypt, these evolved into hieroglyphics. Cuneiform is the abstract writing of the master caste, state, culture, or people.
There is some mention that, in the Second Dynasty, the introduction of both the Cow and Goat was made by the ruler (Manetho, see Chart).
The association of the Golden Calf with the Biblical Aaron is of great interest. The Calf was worshiped in, associated with, Ptah's temple in Memphis, Egypt. In Text context there is the Memphis Theology, lines 56-57 “Lo, every word of the god came into being through the thoughts of the heart & the command by the tongue.”
Recalling the Vedic, the opening of the “Hymn to Ptah” reads: “Hail to You, You who are great and old, ta-Tenen, father of the gods, the great god from the first primordial time who fashioned humanity and made the gods, who began evolution in primordial times, first one after whom everything that appeared developed.” It can be conjectured that Ptah appears to be Brahma.
Ptah is the deity for Creation, Rebirth, Craftsmen; if Ptah is Brahma, there arises a chicken or egg quandary: Which culture developed the theology, or science, which underlies the mythological structures? Or is there yet another cultural common denominator?
Through, or to, Ptah was born Ra. Thus it becomes possible to associate the Vedic Brahma successor deity to the Egyptian; but would any of that yield a timeline for the evolution of the beliefs and philosophical, or scientific, knowledge?
Of interest is that Ptah is depicted as a mummified beared man wearing a skull cap; could it be a bearded man wearing a yarmulka? He is the master architect and framer of everything in the universe. Could he also be the first architect to enter Egypt? This is a pre-dynastic deity.
Today’s religions repeat, modify, and often denigrate, ancient religion, while still mindlessly repeating the same lessons being rediscovered by science.
______________________________________________________
To this point, the focus has been on the Etiological, which is a study of causation. In this instance, causation from cognition to creation to the present. If all is thought, and those thoughts belong to a single entity, why do corporeal beings fear each other?
Xenophobia: the need to keep lines of thought, individuals, separate and as distinct as possible, explains the logic, and common element, of both mythology and day-to-day existance.
Xenophobia defines, controls, or motivates, many, if not all, aspects of human endeavor and culture. Life is very often defined in terms of “them or us,” even though both are one.
If lines of thought, logical and meaningful reasoning constructs, are evident in what we might call genetics, it follows that the repeated assertion of race might be the means to their identification.
Genetic diversity is a reasonable manifestation of the Entity thought pattern. It is both reasonable, and demonstrative, to assert “a line of reasoning” would not wish to consider, or be distracted by, another line of reasoning which is not productive to its advancement.
For reasoning to be productive, it must be kept tight and focused. Yet, there are times when external reasoning, a different viewpoint, proves beneficial. With that in mind, we can draw an analogy to genetics.
Xenophobia, the dislike of people from other places, comes into play with elements of dominant spiritual philosophies. The Vedic, Judaic, Buddhist, Christian, Islamic traditions have, at their root, the Aryan region of Central Asia; specifically the Kashmir region.
There is the question game. Understanding mandates questions which can be answered; questions which cannot be answered; and questions that will be answered if they prove relevant to the answer. Here are some:
Who were the first thoughts of significance?
Who were the first recollected thoughts?
What was the first domesticated crop: Plant or Tree?
What was the first crop of “real” significance?
What thoughts permeate modern thinking?
When and where did agriculture develop?
When and where horses were domesticated?
When and where camel were domesticated?
When and where did lactose tolerance develop?
Where do the mythologies say these things evolved?
Maybe even ask, “Where did life begin?”
Were transitions violent, or peaceful? Do thoughts erase each other, in the process of seeking the conclusion?
The Biblical Creation, The Vedic Creation, the logical beginning of all that is, to this add the later (720 CE) Buddhist influenced Japanese version.
Do this with this thought in mind: The Buddhist comes from the Hindu, which comes from the same Vedic traditions which gave rise to the Hebrew, which gave rise to the Christian.
The first book of the Nihongi states variations from many source document, possibly you recognize this:
“In one writing it is said: ‘Before Heaven and Earth were produced, there was something which might be compared to a cloud floating over the sea. It had no place of attachment for its root. In the midst of this a thing was generated which resembled a reed-shoot when it is first produced in the mud. This became straightway transformed into human shape and was called Kuni no toko-tachi no Mikoto.’"
Allow this to be shortened; and it yield this: "Before Heaven and Earth were produced, there was something which might be compared to a cloud floating. It had no place of attachment for its root. In the midst of this a thing was generated [something which] became straightway transformed into human shape" Our Entity is born, as in the Vedic.
______________________________________________________
Most of our myths tell of, or involve, the “sons of god.” Brahmins of Vedic tradition did not enter new territories as violent invaders; rather they came as representatives of a prevailing deity. The Brahmin, Aryan “invaders”, presented themselves human deities.
The Chenchu of India relate how their deity, Shiva, was hunting in an assumed form; he saw a woman of the village and from the Chenchu were born.
DNA testing makes it clear that male Chenchu are clearly not related to surrounding tribes. More important, their Haplogroup is the same as that of the Brahmin; showing a strong presence of haplotype R1a.
The Vedic, Judaic, Buddhist, Christian, Islamic traditions have, at their root, the Aryan region of Central Asia; specifically the Kashmir region of Northern India, and the region in which agriculture first appears, around the Black Sea.
Ancient Remains appear in the Georgian State, the land of Colchis as mentioned by Herodotus; who also assigns the domestication of horses and development of iron to Anatolia, the southern shore region of the Black Sea.
History may never reveal why Herodotus focused on the Black Sea region; but he has been proved correct on many levels. Herodotus tells of the Amazons, and archaeologists have uncovered graves of women warriors, arrows in their bodies, and their legs bowed in the manner of horsemen.
Curiously, these remains, those associated with Amazons, are toward the region of the Indus Valley and the origin region of the Aryan. It is in the Indus, the seven rivers, Sapta Sindhu. The Rig-Veda speaks of cattle (kine) in this region.
The problem of ancient literature is the symbolism lost in linguistic references born of ages long gone. Professor Richard Villems of the Estonian Biocentre in Estonia has stated, "The problem, with historic linguistics is that their time horizon is at best 8,000 years maximum, because their methods don't yield positive information below this time depth.”
Analysis of language does not allow determination of origins beyond 8,000 years; but origins are not meanings. Meanings of words, an idea which linguistically asserts something “bad” is “good”, does not easily translate. In religions, the deities of a time are demonized upon defeat by a new faith. Original symbolic values vanish under the weight of their demon coatings.
Still, the existence of cultural references, can allow extrapolation to a period back twice that period back, twice 8,000 years; to the dawn of the agricultural age which presented time and subsistence to those who would think.
The Rig-Veda also speaks of Soma, as a deity, a plant, and a drink. Is it possible that the sacred Soma was a wine? It is posited that soma might have been a hallucinogenic agent; yet it is wine which became the reference of ritual, the nectar of the gods; thus, pending conclusive evidence to the contrary, we shall assume soma is wine.
When and where did agriculture develop?
When and where cattle were domesticated?
When and where horses were domesticated?
When and where was wine first made?
The images of discoveries form around the Black sea, they form in association with Anatolia, the Ararat volcanic region and rivers in Iran and the Indus Valley.
If this is where the thinking emerged, it follows that civilization is discovered here too. Civilization is discovered, discoveries spread to change the world. Learning, thought and logic, yield discoveries and explanations. Those with learning spread their craft and change the lives of those they meet. Was the change over violent, or peaceful?

As interesting as the transition from primitive hunter, seeker, to that of thoughtful seeker of truth might prove to be, the matter of linguistics, semantic expression, is not to be over looked. Consider an underlying semantic: “What is life?”
Douglas Adams, author of “The Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe”, had his trilogy become a quest for the answer to “Life, the Universe, and Everything.” The answer to which, apparently, is forty-two.
Adams devoted his craft, his humor, to the philosophical. Consider this postulate:
“There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something more bizarrely inexplicable.
“There is another theory which states that this has already happened.“
Is there a reason for existence? Does “the Great Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything” have an answer? Is there a purpose? Does the postulated Entity exist?
Considering that we began with its existence as a given; and proposed the matter to be one of it asking itself that very same question – after it had already deduced an answer which made it God.
Philosophically, theologically, any discussion of an initial Entity has no real meaning to humanity. We are here, and how we arrived, the initial creator or origin, is a logical trap. The creation begins with what we define as life; and not some sentient energy which preceded, originated, or which we need to invoke as explanation, to our being.
In short, the thoughts of the entity upon becoming consciously sentient are our thought. The Vedic idea that man is god, creating god as an explanation of his existence, and creating life as we know it – for whatever reason; or simply to deduce, or extrapolate, a reason for its own existence.
It does not matter. Entity! Deity! Higher sentient power! Or just the universe and nature; we interact with what is. There is evidence of any interaction with an all powerful, arbitrary or capricious, entity.
The being of Western Religious hypocritical action and thought can not be said to exist in our reality; though it is as much reality as any of the mythologies and superstitions humans of insignificant sentient ability invoke in response to unknown scientific principles.
When confronted by creation, there exist just three levels of human consciousness:
1. Atheist: one who denies a creation point beyond which no evidence, or theory can extend;
2. Agnostic: one who accepts a creation point, but rejects an organized human structure of authority representing, or interpreting, it.
3. Religious: a mandated belief system held together by humans who have absolute authority over humanity. Within this construct there are kings, popes, and formalized leaders who dictate belief; and there are teachers who guide people toward self-perfection. When compared, it is the difference between the profiteering exemption from laws and authority of the first, and the beggar cup of the second.
Clearly, we have begun with the concept of a sentient entity. That is our premise and, as such, it excludes Atheistic illogic, or some circular Atheistic logic. The circular being any statement which says that there is no eternal entity as creator, but there is an eternal universe from which all is created. Atheism rests on contradictory semantics.
Which of the other two positions this work follows is a matter of interpretation of ones personal comfort zone. Certainly we must, and are, eliminating any organized church hierarchies. The beggar cup, or the simple acceptance of a beginning entity – sentient or not, but of necessity we fall toward sentient – from which everything evolved.
_____________________________________________________
Imagine, if you can, a supreme being moving through existence as a beggar, cup in hand, living a Blanche DuBois existence, relying on the kindness of strangers.
That is precisely the Vedic Brahmin teaching, and, though denied in practice, the directions as to how those who preach the teachings of Jesus should live. It is precisely the Institutional Christian denial of their own teachings which argues western Agnosticism.
Denial of the existing reality is a hallmark of most western religions, the religion which evolved from Roman and European Pagan tradition. It is, in our study, obviously an alternative thought pattern of the Entity – but only as a diversionary alternative to be dispensed with as both illogical and internally inconsistent with the underlying premise of a creator who is all.
All religious logic, regardless of the layers of mythology, returns to a single entity in search of meaning to its own existence. As the product of that entity, all sentient life must also be asking that question. In the realm of Douglas Adams, the computer tasked with finding the answer was the Earth, and the process was evolution.
In the theological realm, evolution, the process by which something is constructed, yields to creation without construction, product without manufacture. The end product appears in the store; and, we accept it, never wondering, or considering, the engineering which brought it.
Theology is going to a supermarket with the faith that what you require will be there; or, at least, not be out-of-stock for too long. We live on that faith, live in faith that what we need will be there. We seldom, usually, for most, never give a thought to the process of bringing it.
It is amazing that there are those who would insist that automobiles just appear in the showroom; that products just appear in warehouses to be shipped to stores; that raw materials appeared in their finished and usable forms without any precursor process.
The theological logic of those, now called Creationists, who function in denial of each and every precursor to each and every element of the physical universe is the theology of intellectual denial.
If we assume an intelligent sentient entity as the start, we must also assume a process of knowledge development beginning with cognition.
If we assume a timeless entity, an entity outside of our concept of time, we cannot ascribe our time limitations to the evolutionary elements of its thought process. We need to introduce perspective.
For humanity, a day is one revolution of the Earth on its axis; a year is one cycle of the earth’s elliptical journey around the sun. But what is a day, or year, when you are on Mars? And what would a day be from the perspective of the Sun in its rotation on its axis as it journeys around the center of the Universe? How egotistical to assume that any one part of a body is the defining point for the body as a whole!
In Vedic, and New Testament, tradition, a day to a deity is a thousand years on earth. Those who claim to believe in the literal nature of New Testament scripture are very quick to deny its criteria. They also reject that which they know came before, or concurrent with, what they recognize as Old Testament origins.
We know the logic of first awakening, of initial cognition, of an entity without reference via sensory sensation, of an entity who can only be seen as pure sentient cognition denied of senses. The entity lives a life of total, and complete, sensory depravation in which it defines time by its own internal mental clock.
For the purpose of our journey, and exploration, all matter is within the entity. One might argue that Dark matter, which, in terms of energy matter relationships defined by Einstein, is the missing bulk matter, is the entity thinking in other dimensions.
Time is a construct within thought. It has no real relevance when the idea is to define the time utilized by an entity which is outside our own reference realm for time. Hence, the evolutionary process, which we see as billions of years, could be defined as an instant of entity time.
We can then view every unit of time which is closer to us as being a time defined by focus and concentration.
The natural problem is, like the Vedic Brahma who creates deities and men, effectively moving backward and forward in the evolutionary process of Brahma’s own thinking, we can never be sure if the universe came into existence with our individual awakening from our most recent sleep cycle.
With that curious thought, that you came into existence when you woke, will cease to exist when you again go to sleep; that you are only a transient thought among billions of such thoughts; with that possibility we enter the physical realm of Shreknangst

1. Atheist: one who denies a creation point beyond which no evidence, or theory can extend;
