Well, it appears that POTUS hopeful Rand Paul (R-KY)has made it clear (on CNBC, Monday, 9 Feb 2015) that he supports the right of a Typhoid Mary (Mary Mallon) to go unvaccinated and expose as many people as they will.
Senator Rand Paul asserted that NOT having children vaccinated, and not being vaccinated, as a “FREEDOM” issue. Specifically, when he was called out on it, Paul said, “I guess being for freedom would be controversial.”
Thus we have it. A Typhoid Mary, or any person who is classified an asymptomatic carrier of a deadly pathogen, has the freedom NOT to be vaccinated. They have the freedom to expose as many people as possible, and others have the absolute right to allow their children to remain unvaccinated – thereby not only contracting the deadly pathogen, but, in the contagious phase, exposing as many people as they can to the threat of death.
To Rand Paul, and all the other Republicans opposed to healthcare, it’s phrased as a matter of Freedom. But in the real world, it is evidence of THE MOST HARM TO MOST PEOPLE Republican agenda that is sweeping the nation and governs the Washington legislative process.
