Now that same sex marriage is allowed in New York, there is a new reason for the state, and city, to become Mecca to the creative & Intellectuals in the gay community…
More important, this should go a long way in stemming transmission of STD’s in a significant segment of our society.
Now if the Catholics Clergy would cease and desist their sexual nonsense, we could see a drop in STD’s among what might well be the most promiscuous segment of our society – a group who, if told NO will instinctively insist the answer is YES and run out to do whatever has been forbidden. Funny thing there, during each of the routine the child molesting priest episodes that periodically get reported, the common statistic is that fully FIFTY PERCENT (50%) of the Catholic Clergy are Homosexual … so there are a lot of gays who still cannot marry and must resort to other ways to relieve their sexual tension.
Remember the guiding test of motive:
“The Most Harm to the Most People”
Gays could always get married – just not to each other. Those who opposed gay marriage might well wish to see laws saying Jews cannot marry Jews (they did once exist) or laws requiring that Blacks shouldn’t marry Blacks, or Asians marry Asians. Even better, how about: No Republican can marry a Republican … still better – forbid republicans to marry …. after all, a major segment of their leadership asserts homosexuality is -- just like being in the GOP -- a matter of choice … they have therefore legitimized, or held to be Constitutional, the forbidding marriage based upon free choices in subgroup association.
Any how … a survey of Facebook users had 90% supporting a law pasted by only 53% of the NYS Senate … someone is out of touch. Just five states currently permit same-sex marriage: Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont, as well as the District of Columbia. And the jury is still out on which of the remaining ones are fully devoted, and committed to, inflicting
