Define a STRONG military

Conservatives report that Obama is weakening the military, and state “Progressives have called those in favor of a strong military “war mongers” or “war hawks,” failing to see the bigger picture, which is the fact that threats to national security are growing in scope and sophistication.”

We have troops around the world, but Conservatives yell about “Border Security” because two-year-olds can get in.

It doesn’t dawn on them that, if those troops were here, rather than there, we would not be borrowing money to support foreign economies in those regions where our troops are stationed – instead the money would be building the American economy AND the borders would be more secure.

The Republicans forced the recent budgetary expenditure on weapons that the military stated were useless and outdated.  THAT weakens the military… but blame Obama for what the GOP insisted upon in order to pass the last budget.

Supposedly, “The Air Force now fields the smallest and oldest force of combat aircraft in its history yet needs a global surveillance and strike force able to rapidly deploy to theaters of operation to deter, defeat, or punish multiple aggressors simultaneously.”

Why?  Why an old fashioned Air Force when drones and missiles can do the job more efficiently?

The 2011 Budget Control Act, the Air Force’s Bomber, Fighter and Surveillance forces to approximately 50% of the current inventory.   The Tea Party comes into existence and the first move was to reduce the military – which is OK.  They realized the old fashioned military was bloody stupid.  But now – in order to weaken America, they want to beef up the old fashioned Military, spread it around the world and leave the borders open for any terrorist group that cannot get a VISA (like the 9/11 guys did).
